Looking for a new robot that can clean your windows? Well, Ecovacs is offering the second generation of Winbot Mini for a discounted price. The Winbot Mini 2 is currently available for $189, down from its $295.99 list price. The compact window-cleaning robot offers automated route planning, ultrasonic water spray, and dedicated cleaning modes for different levels of dirt.

The robot is specifically designed for windows, mirrors, and other flat glass surfaces. It measures 8.5 inches across and 2.2 inches thick. Its compact body allows it to operate on relatively small windows and in narrow spaces that may be difficult for larger window-cleaning robots to access.

The robot uses Ecovacs’ WIN-SLAM 4.0 system to detect window frames, calculate the dimensions of the cleaning area and plan an efficient route. It also offers multiple cleaning modes: Fast, Thorough, Deep, Spot, and Edge. Users can select cleaning modes and control the robot manually through the Ecovacs Home app using a close-range Bluetooth connection.

Ultrasonic spray and 8,000Pa suction

The Winbot Mini 2 features an ultrasonic atomization system that converts water into fine mist particles measuring as little as 10 micrometers. The robot then uses a microfiber wiping pad to loosen and collect dirt from the glass.

Ecovacs has equipped the model with redesigned brushes on all four corners. According to the company, the brushes can clean within 1mm of a window frame and provide up to 90% edge coverage. The robot delivers up to 8,000Pa of suction to remain attached to the glass while cleaning. Hence, those rebellious dirt spots on the corner of the glass shouldn’t be an issue, theoretically speaking.

It is said to offer a ten-tier protection system that combines five hardware-based safeguards with four software-based protection measures. These include edge detection, air-pressure compensation, a safety rope, and a backup battery that can keep the robot attached for more than 30 minutes following a power interruption.

The Winbot Mini 2 robot remains a corded window-cleaning robot during normal operation. It is therefore best suited to homes with multiple flat windows, mirrors, or glass doors rather than buyers seeking a completely cordless cleaner.

At the time of writing, the Winbot Mini 2 has an average rating of 4.2 out of five stars from more than 130 Amazon reviews.
